Will of Thomas Hicks, 1795, JR:B:268, Caroline Co. MD 

To eldest son James Hicks - my home plant. "Edmonson's Green Close" and part of a tract 
called "Chance," - my wife Mary to hold during her natural life. 

To second son Giles Hicks - tract called - - - - Plains Addition containing 180 a. 

To third son Levin - plan. at the creek, part of a tract called "Edmondson's Green Close". 

To fourth son Thomas - tract lying in the state of Delaware containing 240 a. 

To dau. Margaret Downes - negro girls named Sal and Henny. 

To dau. Mary - negro girls named Esther and Sal. 

To dau. Betsy - negro girls named Rachel and - - - -. 

To dau. Henreitta - negro girls Peg and Amy. 

To dau. Mary - a new desk; to dau. Betsy a yellow maple desk; to dau. Henrietta a black 
walnut desk. Also $1620 to be divided amongst all my children. To dau. Besty one large 
table and to dau. Henrietta a round table. 

Appoint son, James, executor.

6th March 1795 - then came Giles Hicks, Jun., executor, made oath.
