Page 96 Written: December 22, 1805 Recorded: January 7, 1806 Caroline County, Maryland Wills 1688-1777, Volume C. page 96 I William Wilson of Caroline county in the state of Maryland, being low and weak in body, but of a sound disposing mind, memory and understanding; and knowing that death is certain and the time thereof uncertain, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs before it may please god to call me hence, do therefore make and publish this my last Will and Testament in maner and form following, that is after my debts are paid. First, I give and bequeath to my son John the plantation whereon I now dwell with all the land which I purchased of Greenberry Goldborough containing one hundred acres, to him the said John Wilson his heirs and assigns except the said John Wilson should happen to die without heir lawfully bigotten of his body, and then in that case my will and desire is that the afsd land shall be equally divided between my son James and my son William, to them their heirs and assigns. Item, I give and bequeath to my son James the plantation whereon he now lives with all the land which I purchased of Robert Wright and Thomas Wright eighty six acres more or less called logingses horn, to him the said James Wilson his heirs and assigns. Item, I give and bequeath to my son William the plantation whereon he now lives with all the land which I purchased of Dacor Thomson, part of a tract called Popler ridge and part of a tract called Popler ridge Addition, containing eighty acres more or less to him the said William Wilson his heirs and assigns. Item, I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my land to my three sons afsd to be equeally divided among them so that each one of them may have an equeal quantity or number of acres with that which I have above given and bequeathed to each of them to them the said James Wilson, John Wilson and wiloliam Wilson their heirs and assigns with this provisio that each of them my said sons shall pay fifty pounds to be divided among my three Daughters namly Hanah wife of Dennis Kelley, Ann Wife of Joshua Cooper and Rachel wife of Jacob Charles, that is fifty pounds to each of my said daughters. Item, I give and bequeath to my loving wife Uphamy one horse called Jenious and my Carriage as a Legacy. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son John afsd one bed and furniture, one cow and calf and two sows and pigs as a Legecy – I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate to be equaeally divided amongst my children sheare and sheare alike. And Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint my son James and my son John to be joint executors to and of this my last Will, revoking and annulling all former Wills and testaments by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this and none other to be my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this twenty second day of the twelvth month in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and five.
