In consideration of the sum of one hundred and five dollars - All those parts of two tracts of land called "Gotham" [1776, Daniel Chamier] and "Hogstead Enlarged" [Actual plat name Hockstadt - Adam Linn of Baltimore, 1752, enlarged 1757, Rudolph Decker and Jacob Oats, 273 acres] Beginning for the same to include part of both of said tracts of land at a stone set up in the ground in the countyr road leading from "Bachman Mill" to the Baltimore Reistertown and Hanover turnpike road, it being also at the end of the first line of a deed of conveyance from Conrad Hileman to the said Anna Mary Foltz and running from thence with and bounding on said road North 51 degrees East 43 perches, thence North 45 degrees west 21 perches to a stone set up in the ground marked R then south 62 degrees west 37 3/4 perches until it intersects the North 32 degrees west 203 3/4 perches line of said deed of Conveyance, then running with and bounding on said line to the beginning containing 6 acres and 22 square perches. Also part of the aforesaid tract ofland called "Gotham" Beginning from the stone at the end of the North 32 degrees west 203 3/4 perches line of the aforesaid deed of conveyance at a stone and re..ing from there south 78 degrees East 28 3/10 perches thence south 38 perches, south 30.5 degrees east 14 perches, south 60 degrees West 203 3/4 perches line and running thence with and bounding on said line to the beginning containing three acres? 2 rods and ten perches. in Carroll County, starts from place on the Road from "Bachman Mill" to the Baltimore Reistertown and Hanover turnpike road - total of about nine acres. Witnesses Jacob Gitt (J.P.) and Jacob Lineaweaver. [Note: this land is between Bachman Valley and the PA line] TWO This Indenture made Mar 4 1850 between Anna Mary Foltz of Carroll County and Michael Wilson of same. For sum of $136 sells part of tract called Hogstodt Enlarged [see above] about five acres. Witnesses Jacob Kerlinger and George Everhart; John B. Boyle Beginning for the same at a stone set in the ground marked A and running thence north 35 degrees west 18.5 perches to the said Anna Mary Foltz land thence with said land south 51 degrees west 41 perches, thence south three degrees west 18 ½ perches and from thence with a straight line to the beginning containing five acres and 10 perches.
