TEXT OF OBITUARY

Mrs. Penelope V. Stansbury, wife of the late Whitfield Stansbury died at her 
home in Hampstead on Saturday afternoon following a prolonged illness.  She was 
the oldest resident of the community having reached the age of 99 years, 6 
months and twenty-two days.  She was a daughter of the late Jacob and Sarah 
Algire.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Walter E. Kriel with who she 
resided.  Funeral services were held at her late home on Tuesday afternoon.  
Rev. George E. Whetstone, pastor of the Hampstead Lutheran Parish was in charge 
assisted by Dr. J. Edgar Knipp of Baltimore.  The pallbearers were:  J. William 
Kelbaugh, J. M. Shank, Walter Sullivan, Charles Stansbury, H. R. Wooden, Watson 
Algire, Homer Twigg, Sterling Brown.  Interment was made in the Hampstead 
Cemetery.  Edward C. Tipton funeral director.
