T., Elizabeth, Samuel H., Thomas, John and Charles Mary was born in Eng.; married Samuel in Phila., & moved to Elkton in 1850 where Samuel established his brickyard. She was the mother of Mary A., Geo. T., Elizabeth, Samuel H., Thomas, John & Charles. She was the sister of George Turner. She was the mother-in-law of Elizabeth Cabrey King; grandmother of Eleanor King Connors; great grandmother of Robert Connors & great great grandmother of Janet Connors. After her husband's death in 1867, she operated the brickyard (aka Mrs. King's Brick Yard) until her 2nd. marriage in 1888 to Wm. Jones, "well known Elkton stone mason." Mary Turner King was known as a "most estimable woman & faithful & consistent member of the Elkton M.E. Church," Main St. She was proceeded in death by her husband (1867), her sons Thomas (1884) & John. She is buried next to her husband & son, Thomas. The brickyard was located on the corner of W. Main St. & Blue Ball Rd (Landing Lane), which is now the location of the Cecil County Maintenance Yard & the site of the original William Auto (Chevrolet) dealership.
