T.; Elizabeth; Thomas; Samuel H.; John & Charles; brother of Thomas; Grandfather of Eleanor King Connors; great grandfather of Robert Connors; great great grandfather of Janet Connors; Sam'l. joined the family brick making business in Eng. & then started his business in Phila., in 1844, then started business in Elkton in 1850 @ the corner of W. Main St. & Blue Ball Rd.(Landing Lane); his brick making consisted of refractory bricks, bricks & draining tile; in 1853 he made over 200,000 bricks for the Howard House Hotel, Main St., Elkton, Cecil County, MD. After his death, his wife operated the business & it was known as Mrs. King's Brick Yard until her death. The brick yard is now the site of the Cecil County Maintenance Yard & the original location for the Williams Auto dealership (Chevrolet).
