ARBUCKLE, DECEASED IN THE ORPHANS' COURT FOR CECIL COUNTY To the Honorable the Judges of said Court: The report of Samuel J. Arbuckle, Daniel T. Arbuckle, Paul T. Arbuckle, and Philip R. Arbuckle, executors of the last will and testament of Mary S. Arbuckle, late of Cecil County, deceased, said will being dated the 2nd day of March, 1901, duly probated and recorded among the will Records of Cecil County, in Liber K. Vol. 18, Folio 427 etc., respectfully shows: That, under and by virtue of a power contained in said Will, the said Executors were authorized and empowered to sell the real estate of which the said testator died seized and possessed. That after advertising in the Cecil Whig and Cecil Democrat, newspapers published in Elkton, Cecil County, Maryland, and by handbills extensively circulated in the said County for more than thirty days prior to the day of sale, the said Executors sold the real estate hereinafter described at public auction at the Court House Door at Elkton, at 11 o'clock A. M. on the 12th day of December 1905, to Daniel T. Arbuckle for the sum of $7,000.00, and that the said Daniel T. Arbuckle paid the purchase money in full, said real estate consisting of a farm and a tract of land located in Cecil County, Maryland, near the village of Andora, on the East side of the public road from Fair Hill to Elkton, and particularly described as follows: Beginning at a stone heap on the line of Scott's land, and running thence South eighty and one quarter degrees West ninety six and five tenths perches, to middle of road, thence with said road by two courses to a stone, a corner of Valentine's land, South seventy seven degrees East forty four perches, thence North seventy nine degrees East one hundred and sixteen perches with same and Drummond's land, to East side of a stream, thence South sixty five degrees East sixteen perches with Blackiston's land, thence South twelve degrees East twenty-three perches with Blackiston's land, thence South twenty five degrees East fourteen perches with Blackiston's land, thence South thirty nine and one half degrees East twenty four perches with Blackiston's land, thence South forty eight degrees East sixteen perches, thence South forty five degrees West twenty five perches, thence South sixty four degrees West, twenty and one half perches, thence South eighty nine degrees West one hundred and twenty two perches with Scott's land, to beginning, containiing one hundred and forty two acres of land, more or less. The courses and distances hereby given are taken from a plat, a survey made by Alfred B. McVey, Surveyor, and filed with the papers of said estate in the Orphans' Court of Cecil County. Together with the buildings and improvements thereon, and the rights and appurtenances thereto belonging or appertaining, and that by deed dated the 24th day of November, in the year 1906, and recorded in Liber M. D. No. 6, Folio 44, one of the Land Record Books of Cecil County aforesaid, the said Executors conveyed the said real estate to the said Daniel T. Arbuckle, but that the said sale was not reported to this Court nor was said sale confirmed by said Court. That the said Samuel J. Arbuckle, Daniel T. Arbuckle, Paul T. Arbuckle, and Philip R. Arbuckle were the only heirs-at-law and distributees of the estate of the said Mary S. Arbuckle, and that the said heirs-at-law and distributees are of adult age and hereby consent to the immediate ratification of the sale herein reported . Respectfully submitted. Arbuckle, deceased, and named in the above report of sale, and made oath in due form of law that the matters and things set forth in the aforegoing report are true to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that the sale therein reported was fairly made.
