Chancery Record HHM #1 Folio 477 Cecil County Md Land Records
30 November 1853 State of Maryland to Francis B. Gottier and John Moore of 
Williamsburg, Kings Co. New York. Whereas Frisby H. Wilcox and others of Cecil 
Co. Md. have lately exhibited thier bill before us in Circuit Court for Cecil 
Co. on the equity side thereof against Henry Steel, Emma Steel, and John 
Wesley Steel and others. And whereas the said Henry Steel, Emma Steel and John 
Wesley Steel are non-residents and infants under 21 years. The court appoints 
Francis Gottier full power of attorney for them.


Additional Comments:
30 May 1854 I Francis B. Gottier do hereby certify that I proceeded to the 
house of John Steel in the city of Brooklyn, State Of New York, for the 
purpose of assgning a guardian to defendents in the month of December 1853. 
The said John Steel refused to produce any of the said infants and the 
undersigned was unable to execute said commission.
