Number 21, Folio 177 This Indenture made the fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety eight Between Jacob Casho of Cecil County in the State of Maryland of the one part, And Peter Egner Sen’r of the same County and State of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jacob Casho for and in Consideration of the sum of Two hundred and twenty five pounds Current Lawful money of Maryland to him in hand paid by the said Peter Egner Sen’r at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the Receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged, He the said Jacob Casho hath Granted Bargained and sold, Aliened Released and Confirmed and by these presents doth Grant Bargain and sell, Alien, Release and confirm unto him the said Peter Egner Sen’r his heirs and Assigns forever, All that part of a Tract of Land in Cecil County called Prices Patent as included within the following Metes and bounds Viz Beginning at stone at the North West Corner of said Tract of Land, adjoining William Mitchell’s and Samuel Wilsons[sic] Land, and running thence with said Samuel Wilson’s Land North Eighty five degrees East, one hundred and thirty eight perches and a quarter to a stone, on said line, being a corner of Peter Egner Jun’r part of said Tract of land, thence with said part of said Tract of Land south four degrees and a half East Seventy four perches, to a stone with south side of a Road, thirteen perches westerly of a Hickory tree then south Eighty Eight degrees and a quarter west, one Hundred perches, to a stake, or Post, then south twenty perches, then South Eighty Eight degrees west thirty two perches, to a stone, then North six degrees west twenty perches then South Eighty Eight degrees west two perches to a stone, on an old Road leading towards Bell hill and near the south East side of the present new Road laid out through said Land, being a corner boundary between a certain Christy Thomas’s and William Mitchells[sic] Land and from thence with said William Mitchels[sic] Land by a straight line to the place of beginning Containing Sixty five Acres of Land more or less, together with all houses Gardens fields, fences, woods, ways, waters, Profits Commodities, Advantages and Appurtenances, thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, And the Estate, Right, title, Interest, property claim and Demand whatsoever, of him the said Jacob Casho, his heirs Executors and Administrators, of in or unto the said Land and Premises, and of in and unto every part and parcel thereof, with the Appurtenances To have and to hold all and Singular the said hereby Granted Bargained, and sold, or meant or intended to be Granted Bargained and sold Land and Premises with the appurtenances, unto him the said Peter Egner Sen’r his heirs and Assigns forever, And the said Jacob Casho for himself his heirs, Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant and agree to and with the said Peter Egner Sen’r his heirs and Assigns that he the said Jacob Casho his heirs, Executors and Administrators, the said hereby Granted bargained and sold Land and premises, with the Appurtenances unto him the said Peter Egner Sen’r his heirs and Assigns, against him the said Jacob Casho his heirs, Executors and Administrators, and against all and every other person, and persons whatsoever claiming, or to claim by him or under him them or any of them, shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents, In Testimony whereof the said Jacob Casho hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above County Sct Be it remembered that on the fifth day of February, one thousand seven hundred and Ninety Nine, personally appeared before me the subscriber, one of the Associate Justices for Cecil County: the within named Jacob Casho, and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his Act and Deed, and the Land and premises within mentioned, to be granted Bargained and sold with the Appurtenances to be the only right and Estate of the within named Peter Egner Sen’r his heirs and Assigns forever, according to the True Intent and meaning of the within Deed And at the same time appeared before me Elisabeth the wife of the said Jacob Casho, and acknowledged her Consent to the within Deed, and Relinquished her right of Dower to the Land and premises within mentioned with the Appurtenances, and being by me privately examined out of the hearing of her said Husband, she declared that she made said Acknowledgement freely and willingly without being forced or induced thereto
