Stephen Onion for 250 pounds current money of Maryland sold to John Steel 20 acres of land lying on the east side of the Susquehanna River upon the mouth of Rock Run condemned by a writ for building water mills reference being had to the Chancery Records for the meets and bounds thereof with the mill, dwelling houses and all the improvements thereon. Also includes 4 small islands lying in the Susquehanna opposite Rock Run called Perks Island or Johnston Island. Additional Comments: An inventory of goods late the property of John Steel of Rock Run deceased appraised by us subscribers. Given under our hands this 20 June 1747 by Thomas Shepard and Robert Alison, also Augustina Ward and George Rock are mentioned. Nearest of kin are Margarey and Jared Neilson. March 26, 1748 then came Elizabeth Steel to make oath.
