Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber AWM, Number 4, Folio 14

This Deed made and executed this Sixth day of October in the year of _ Lord One 
thousand Eight hundred and Seventy five by Lewis T Roberts and Margaretta M 
Roberts his wife of Cecil County in the State of Maryland.  Witnesseth that the 
said Lewis T Roberts and Margaretta M Roberts his wife for and in consideration 
of the sum of Fifty dollars $50.00 do grant, bargain and sell in fee simple unto 
Mary S Arbuckle wife of Daniel Arbuckle of the County and State aforesaid, a 
certain lot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County and 
State mentioned, and contained within the metes and bounds, courses, and 
distances as follows, to wit: Beginning for the same in the middle of the public 
road leading from the Village of Cherry Hill to Fair Hill and in the divisional 
line of the land of the said Lewis T Roberts, and the said Mary S Arbuckle, and 
running with said divisional line South Seventy nine and a half degrees West 
twenty perches to the North side of the public road leading to Carlen(?) Paper 
Mills; then South Seven and a half degrees East twenty one perches along North 
side of said road to the middle of the Cherry Hill and Fair Hill road aforesaid; 
then North Seven and a half degrees West Eight and a half perches along the 
middle of the last named road to the place of Beginning.  Containing half an 
acre of land more or less.  Being a part of the land which was conveyed to the 
said Lewis T Roberts by W J Jones and L Marchall(?) Haines Trustees by their 
Deed dated the Seventeenth day of April Eighteen hundred and Seventy four, 
recorded in Liber AWM No 1 folio 6 a Land Record book for Cecil County 
aforesaid; to which said Deed and the Deed and paper therein reference to 
reference is hereby made for a full and particular description of the whole 
tract of which this lot is a part.
In testimony whereof the said Lewis T Roberts and Margaretta M Roberts his wife 
have set their hands and Seals the day and year aforesaid.

I hereby certify that on this Sixth day of October in the year Eighteen hundred 
and Seventy five, before the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace of the State of 
Maryland in and for Cecil County aforesaid, personally appeared Lewis T Roberts 
and Margaretta M Roberts his wife, and did each acknowledge the foregoing Deed 
to be their respective act.
