Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber CHH, Number 1, Folio 481

This mortgage made this nineteenth day of November in the year one Thousand 
Eight hundred and sixty six by me Samuel Wilson of Cecil County Md.  Witnessth 
that in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars now due from me the 
said Samuel Wilson to Rensaellaer Biddle I the said Samuel Wilson do grant 
unto the said Ransaellaer Riddle all my interest in all that piece or parcel 
of land situate lying and being in Cecil County foresaid which was devised to 
the said Samuel Wilson by his father Robert Wilson by his will duly executed 
and of record in the office of the Register of Wills for Cecil County.  
Provided that if I the said Samuel Wilson shall pay on or before the first day 
of January in the year one Thousand Eight hundred and seventy one to the said 
Rensellaer Biddle the sum of Two hundred dollars with the interest thereon 
from the twentieth day of November in the year one Thousand Eight hundred and 
sixty six then this mortgage shall be void, interest payable annually, and the 
said Samuel Wilson convenants that he will pay all the taxes and assessments 
on said mortgage as they fall due.  Witness my hand and seal

I hereby certify that on this nineteenth day of November in the year one 
Thousand Eight hundered and sixty six before the subscriber a Justice of the 
Peace in and for Cecil County Md, personally appeared Samuel Wilson and 
acknowledged the aforegoing instrument of writing to be his act and at the 
same time also appeared Rensellaer Biddle and made oath in due form of law, 
that the consideration mentioned in the aforegoing mortgage is true and bona 
fide as therein set forth
