The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber CK, Number 10, Folio 350 THIS DEED, made this 16th day of October, in the year Nineteen Hundred and Fifteen, by SAMUEL J ARBUCKLE and CATHERINE M ARBUCKLE, his wife, both of Cecil County, in the State of Maryland, WITNESSTH, that in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars and other good and valuable considerations, part of said consideration being purchase money mortgage for $5000.00, paid by Robert W Plummer of Sussex County, in the State of Virginia, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, we, the said Samuel J Arbuckle and Catherine M Arbuckle do hereby grant unto the said Robert W Plummer all that farm or tract of land situated in the Fourth Election District of Cecil County, aforesaid, on the West side of the public road from Fair Hill to Elkton and on the North side of the road from Carter’s Mill to the aforesaid road. BEGINNING for the same at a point in the middle of the road from Carter’s Mill to road from Fair Hill to Elkton near Samuel J Arbuckle’s Bungalow, running thence with line of McCauley farm, North, twelve degrees East, one hundred and thirty nine perches; thence South, seventy five degrees East, thirty three and five tenths perches with Spratt’s land near barn fence; North, twelve degrees East, six and two tenths perches to corner of Spratt’s land; thence South, seventy five degrees East, twelve perches to middle of Fair Hill and Elkton road; thence with middle of said road by two courses to point where road to Carter’s Mill intersects Fair Hill road, thence North, seventy six and one-half degrees West, twenty one perches with said road; thence by new line North, seventy three degrees West, sixty nine perches along middle of said road to the place of beginning; containing Sixty Nine Acres of Land, more or less, being the same tract or parcel of land conveyed to the said Samuel J Arbuckle by Samuel J Arbuckle, Daniel T Arbuckle and others, Executors of Mary S Arbuckle, deceased, by deed dated the 14th day of May, in the year 1915, and recorded in Liber CK, No 10, Folio 248 etc, one of the Land Record Books of Cecil County, aforesaid. EXCEPTING and RESERVING all that part of said tract or parcel of land lying on the South side of the said road from Carter’s Mill to the Fair Hill Road, containing Seven Acres and one Rood of Land, more or less, on which the said Samuel J Arbuckle now resides. TOGETHER with the buildings and improvements thereon and the rights, ways and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the property hereby granted unto the said Robert W Plummer, his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple. And the said Samuel J Arbuckle hereby covenants that will warrant specially the property hereby conveyed and that he will execute such further assurances of said land as may be requisite.
