The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber CK, Number 6, Folio 492 THIS DEED, Made this Second day of October, in the year Nineteen hundred and thirteen, by Emley W Sebold, Elizabeth F Yocum and Isaac F Yocum, her husband, Emily Alice Ward and George W Ward, her husband, all of Cecil County, State of Maryland, Elwood R Sebold, of the City of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania and George W Sebold of New Castle County, State of Delaware, parties of the first part, and Mollie D Arbuckle of Cecil County aforesaid, party of the second part, WHEREAS Mary E Sebold, late of Cecil County aforesaid, deceased, the wife of the said Emley W Sebold, died seized and possessed of certain hereinafter described real estate which, by her last will and testament, dated the 11th day of February, 1903, duly probated in the Orphans’ Court of Cecil County and recorded among the Will Records thereof in Liber M, 20 folio 361, she devised and bequeathed as follows; “Second—I give and devise and bequeath to my husband Emley W Sebold, all the property of every kind whatsoever of which I may be seized and possessed as a slight token of my appreciation of the kind and faithful attention to me. Third—At the death of my husband Emley W Sebold, what he has not used of my estate I give and devise and bequeath to my children namely, Elwood R Sebold, Elizabeth F Yocum, wife of Isaac F Yocum; George W Sebold, Emily Alice Ward, wife of George W Ward, to share and share alike.” NOW THEREFORE THIS DEED WITNESSTH; that for and in consideration of the sum of Five dollars ($5.00) to the said parties of the first part in hand paid by the said party of the second part, at and before the execution and delivery hereof, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for other good and valuable considerations, the said Emley W Sebold, Elizabeth F Yocum and Isaac F Yocum, her husband, Emily Alice Ward and George W Ward, her husband, Elwood R Sebold and George W Sebold do hereby grant and convey unto the said Mollie D Arbuckle all that tract, piece or parcel of land situate on the north side of the road leading from Cherry Hill village to Cowentown, in said County, the said piece of land being made up of two contiguous pieces of land the first of which is described as follows, viz: Beginning for the same at a stone set in the ground on the north side or line of the public road leading from Cherry Hill towards Cowentown, being also the south west corner of lands formerly belonging to Stewart H Gallaher and afterwards to Isaac McKaig, and running thence northward by lands fo the said Isaac McKaig to a stone the north west corner of said McKaig’s land, thence by a straight line being a continuation of the northern line of said McKaig’s land until it intersects the lands now or formerly of Dr R C Carter, thence by lands of said Carter until it intersects the lot of Cherry Hill Church, thence by said church lot to the public road, thence by said public road to the place of beginning, containing by estimation twelve acres of land more or less; the Second of said tracts of land being described as follows; Beginning at a stone on the north side of the aforesaid road and running thence by lands formerly owned by William C Hasson North eighty degrees and one fourth of a degree East fifty nine and one half perches, thence North seventy five degrees and one half of a degree West thirty three and seven tenths perches to a stone, thence South one and three fourths degrees West fifty three and one half perches to aforesaid road, thence by and with said road North seventy five and one half degrees East twenty six and six tenths perches to the place of beginning, containing nine acres two roods and twenty perches, excepting from said tract a small lot which was conveyed unto the Methodist Episcopal Church of Cherry Hill by Henry M Pierson and wife by deed dated May the fifth AD 1881 and recorded among the Land Records of said County in Liber JAD No 1, folio 591 etc, and also a certain lot or parcel of land containing three and one half acres of land which was conveyed unto the said Methodist Episcopal Church of Cherry Hill by the said Emley W Sebold and wife, by deed dated October 1st, 1896 and recorded as aforesaid in Liber JTG No 11, folio 265; the land hereby conveyed being the same tract or parcel of land which was conveyed unto the said Mary E Sebold, wife of Emley Sebold, by the said Henry M Pierson and wife, by their deed, dated the 17th day of January, 1891, and recorded among the Land Records of Cecil County aforesaid in Liber JAD No 21, folio 505, to which said deed and all other instruments of writing therein mentioned or referred to, reference is hereby specially made for a more complete and accurate description of the said land; Together with all the buildings and improvements thereon and all the rights and appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining; TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted property unto the said Mollie D Arbuckle, her heirs and assigns, forever in fee simple.
