The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber CSP, Number 1, Folio 417 THIS DEED, made this Thirty first day of January in the year nineteen hundred and seventeen by Paul T Arbuckle, Philip R Arbuckle and Daniel T Arbuckle, surviving Executors of Mary S Arbuckle, deceased, of Cecil County, in the State of Maryland, of the first part and Daniel T Arbuckle of said Cecil County, of the second part; WHEREAS, on the 12th day of May, 1915, the parties hereto of the first part together with a certain Samuel J Arbuckle, a co-executor, now deceased, conveyed to the said Daniel T Arbuckle, a certain farm or tract of land, situated in said Cecil County and hereinafter described: AND WHEREAS, by inadvertence or clerical oversight an error was made in said Deed in the statement of the length of the first line of said farm or tract of land and in the omission of one of the lines of said farm or tract of land, now for the purpose of correcting said errors and of confirming the title of the said Daniel T Arbuckle to the said farm or tract of land, with said errors corrected, this deed is executed: NOW, therefore, THIS DEED WITNESSTH, that in consideration of the premises and of the sum of Five dollars and of other good and valuable considerations, the said parties hereto, of the first part, do grant unto the said Daniel T Arbuckle all that farm or tract of land, situated near the village of Andora, in said Cecil County, on the East side of the public road from Fair Hill to Elkton and described as follows:- BEGINNING, for the same, at a stone heap on the line of Scott’s land and running thence South eighty and one quarter degrees West, about seventy two and five tenths perches, to middle of said road, thence, with said road, by two courses, to a stone, a corner of Valentine’s land, thence South seventy seven degrees East, forty four perches, more or less, thence North seventy nine degrees East, one hundred and sixteen perches, with same and Drummond’s land, to the west side of a stream, thence South sixty five degrees East, sixteen perches, with Blackiston’s land, thence South forty eight degrees east, thirty two perches, thence south twelve degrees East, twenty three perches, with Blackiston’s land, thence South twenty five degrees East, fourteen perches with Blackiston’s land, thence South thirty nine and one half degrees East, twenty four perches, with Blackiston’s land, thence South forty eight degrees East, sixteen perches, thence South forty five degrees West, twenty five perches thence South sixty four degrees West, twenty and one half perches and thence South eighty nine degrees West, one hundred and twenty two perches, with Scott’s land to the Beginning, Containing One hundred and forty two acres, more or less; being part of a farm or tract of land of which Mary S Arbuckle, late of said Cecil County died seized and possessed and being all of the land in said Cecil County lying East of said public road, of which the said Mary S Arbuckle died seized and possessed; being, also, a part of a tract of land which was conveyed to the said Mary S Arbuckle by Hiram McCullough by deed dated February 20th 1857, and recorded in Liber HHM, No 9, folio 49, another of said Land Record Books. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD said farm or tract of land, hereby conveyed, with the buildings and improvements thereon and the rights, ways, privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, unto unto the said Daniel T Arbuckle, his heirs and assigns, in fee simple, forever.
