Dorsey of the City of Baltimore in Baltimore County and State of Maryland, Bargainor of the first part, and Charles F. Mayer Acting Executor of William Cole [illegible] of said city Bargainee of the other part, Witnefseth (sic); that the said Bargainor for, and in consideration of the sum of four hundred & four Dollars &ninety six cents current money to him in hand paid by the said Bargainee at and before the sealing and delivery of these property, the receipt whereof the said Bargainor does hereby acknowledge and himslef to be there with fully [illegible] satisfied, contented and paid, has bargained and sold and by these presents does give, grant, bargain and sell, allw, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said Bargainee his heirs and afsigns (sic) all his the said Bargainor's undivided part of all that tract of land called "Milford" lying in Octorara Hundred in Cecil County in the State of Marylandcontaining one hundred and fifty two acres, more or less, whence of the Father of the Bargainor, Stephen H. Dorsey, died seized or pofsefsed (sic), and bounded by, or adjoining land now, or heretofore, of one Cutter and a certain Ewing, and a certain Swaggart respectively, said part of said tract having descended or accrued to said Bargainor from, by, or under his said Father: and also all the other lands which have descended or accrued to said Bargainor by from or under his said Father in Cecil County aforesaid or to orin which the Bargainor has by any means any right, title, claim, interest and estate at law or in equity __ together with all and singular the buildings, inprovements, ways, waters, watercourses, rights, privileges, advantages and appurtenances, thereto belonging, or in anywise appertaining; and all the estate, right, title, interest, trust, property, claim and demand whatsoever, at law and in equity, of the said Bargainor of, in and to the same. To Have and To Hold the said lands and part of a tract of land and premises with the appurtemamces thereunto belonging, unto the said Bargainee, his heirs and afsigns, to the only and proper use and behoof of the said Bargainee his heirs and afsigns for ever.And the said Bargainor for himself and his heirs does herebycovenant, promis and agree to and with the said Bargainee his heirs afsigns (sic), that he the said Bargainor and his heirs and allpersons claiming under them, shall and will from time to time and all times thereafter; at the reasonable request, cost and charge of the said Bargainee his or any of his heirs or afsigns (sic), make and lawfully execute, acknowledge and deliver, all and every such further [illegible] other Deed, conveyance and afsuriance (sic) in the law whatsoever for the better and mor fuylly conveying and afsuring (sic) to the said Bargainee his heirs and afsigns 9sic), all the right, title, estate and interest at law or in equity, which the said Bargainor now has or can lawfully claim, in and to the said lands and part of a tract of land and premises with the appurtenances herin before described and mentiioned to be bargained and sold, according to the true intent and meaning of the parties to these presents as by the said Bargainor or by any of his heirs or afsigns (sic), or by his counsel learned in the law shall be reasonably deduced or advised and required. Provided neverthelefs (sic) and these precisely are made on that condition and with that intent and purpose, that if the said William E. Dorsey, wha executed to said Charles F. Mayer, on order as Acting Executor aforesaid, two promisory notes each dated this seventeenth day of July eighteen hundred and twenty seven and each for the sum of fifty two dollars and forty eight cents with interest from the seventeenth day of May in this present year, one of said notes being payable in ninety days, and the other in (ninety) ninety days after said date, shall will and tuly pay said promisory notes according to their tenor to the said Charles F. Mayor his executors administrators and afsigns (sic), then then this Indenture and every clause, matter, [illegible] thing therein contained, shall be null and void, anything herein exprefsed to the contrary thereof notwithstanding. Inwitnefs whereof the said William E. Dorsey hereto set his hand and seal on the day in the year first above written. Signed sealed & delivered William E. Dorsey in presence of Fielder Israel Ja B. Latimer State of Maryland, City of Baltimore, to wit. Be it remembered that on the seventeeth day of July in the year eighteen hundred and twenty seven before the subscribers, two Justices of the Peace of said State in and for said City, personally appears William E. Dorsey, of said City, the grantor named in the aforegoing Indenture of Mortgage to Charles F. Mayer an instrument of writing and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed. Acknowledged before Fielder Israel, Ja B. Latimer State of Maryland Baltimore County, [Illegible] I hereby Certify that Fielder Israel and James B. Latimer gentlement before whome the within acknowledgement was made and who have thereto subscribed their names were at the time of so doing two Justices of the Peace in and for the City of Baltimore duly commifsioned (sic) and sworn. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal of Baltimore County Court this twenty first day of July eighteen hyndred and twenty seven.
