I John E Armstrong (Col) of Cecil County State of Maryland in consideration of Two Hundred and five dollars and seventy seven cents paid me by Philip A Ricard of State and County aforesaid, do hereby bargain and sell to the said Philip A Ricard the following property: one sorrel horse (John) six years old, also one sorrel horse Archy eight years old.
