The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber DS, Number 9, Folio 365 Know All Men by These Presents, That we Benjamin F Logan, William R Mearnes and Thomas Tyson, Philip A Richards of Cecil County in the State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of Five Thousand Eight hundred dollars current money to be paid to the said State or its certain attorney to the payment whereof will and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of us our and each of our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this Twenty first day of April Anno Domine Eighteen hundred and seventy three. Whereas The County Commissioners of Cecil County have duly appointed the above named Benjamin F Logan Collector of Taxes in the Fifth Election District of Cecil County for the year Eighteen hundred and seventy three. Now The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Benjamin F Logan shall will and faithfully execute his office and shall account for and pay to the Treasurer of the State of Maryland the several sums of money which he shall receive for the State, or be answerable for by law at such times as the law shall direct, then this obligation to be void otherwise remains in full form and virtue in law.
