All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber GMC, Number 6, Folio 131 Know all Men by these presents that I Jacob Biddle of Cecil County in the State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the sum of five hundred and forty four Dollars and thirty nine Cents due and owing by me to Frisby Henderson of the Same County and State for Rent in arrear for the years 1841 and 1842 for the farm belonging to the Said Frisby Henderson lying near the village of French Town now in Any profession and occupation and for the purpose of Securing the Said rents or a part thereof and also for and in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and fifty Dollars being the amount of rent which will be due from me to the Said Frisby Henderson on the twenty fifth day of the present month March for the year 1843 for the Same Farm before mentioned and also for the purposes of Securing the Same a part thereof as aforesaid which Said two Sums of Money I do hereby acknowledge to be due and Truly owing by me to the said Frisby Henderson have bargained Sold transferred and assigned and by these presents do bargain Sell transfer and assign unto the Said Frisby Henderson his executors administrators and assigns the following property viz Two old Mares, one black horse four years old, one bay Mare about four years old, two bay mare Colts three years old, eleven Milch Cows of different Colours some of them being without horns, four young dry Cattle, one yoke of oxen about Seven years old, one ox Cart in good order, one old ox Cart, one old road waggon[sic], one horse Cart, twenty-five Sheep, and about twenty lambs, five feather beds bedsteads and Sets of bed clothes all the remaining house hold furniture Consisting of Walnut Tables Cubbards Windsor Chairs Stands etc one wheat fan made by Walker[?] all the ploughs harrows and other farming utensils all which Said Goods and Chattles are now remaining Standing and being in the possession of the Said Jacob Biddle on the farm aforementioned. To have and To hold all and Singular the Said Goods Chattles furniture and other the premises above bargained and Sold or mentioned and intended hereby so to be to the Said Frisby Henderson his executors administrators and assigns forever, to their only proper use and behoof and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever. In witness whereof I the Said Jacob Biddle have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this eighteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and forty four.
