Witnesseth, that in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred dollars with interest thereon from the date hereof as by the said William H Drummonds[sic] note of hand bearing Even date with these presents in farm of Matthew Borland appeareth. The said W H Drummond & wife doth grant unto the said Matthew Borland all that parcel of ground situate in Cecil County, being part of a lot of land formerly owned by one Enas[?] Scarborough and which the said Scarborough sold & conveyed to the said W H Drummond as by deed dated on the 9th of October 1847 and Recorded in Liber GMC No 13 folio 280 etc one of the Land Records of Cecil County aforesaid will more full and plainly appear. Containing Twenty one and one fourth acres of Land more or less, and which is now occupied by a certain William M Drummond, Provided that if the said William H Drummond shall pay on or before three years from the date hereof to the said Matthew Borland the sum of Two Hundred dollars with interest thereon (to be paid annually) in three years from the date hereof and according to the Terms of his promissory note aforesaid then this Mortgage shall be void. Witness our hands and seals the date above.
