Witnesseth, That in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars, now owing unto Rebecca L Poole, Mary E Biddle and Olivia Cavender by the said John W Bristow and for and in consideration of the aforesaid sum of money the said John W Bristow & wife doth grant unto the said Rebecca L Poole, Mary E Biddle and Olivia Cavender all that Certain house and lot situated on the border of Chesapeake City in Cecil County Md, north of the Chesapeake & Del Canal. Beginning as a boundary at a stone at the intersection of the north side of Biddle street with the west side of Union Street and running thence binding on the westward side of Union Street N 2 1/2° W 120 ft to a stone thence parallel with the northward side of Biddle Street S 85° W 55 ft to a stone thence parallell[sic] with the westward side of Union Street S 2 1/2° E 120 feet to the northward side of Biddle Street to a stone thence binding on the northward side of Biddle Street W 85° E 55 feet to the place of Beginning. Containing 6600 square feet more or less being the farm house and lot which was conveyed unto the said John W Bristow by Rebecca L Poole, Mary E Biddle and Olivia Cavender by their Deed bearing date the 21st day of March 1883 and to be recorded in one of the Land Record Books of Cecil County. The Condition of this Mortgage is such that if the above mentioned John W Bristow & wife shall pay unto the said Rebecca L Poole, Mary E Biddle and Olivia Cavender the above mentioned sum of money together with interest thereon from the date hereof on or before the Sixteenth day of June Eighteen Hundred and Eighty Five then this mortgage to be void and of none effect otherwise to be in full force and virtue. And at the same time also personally appeared Rebecca L Poole, Mary E Biddle and Olivia Cavender and made oath that the Consideration in said Mortgage is true and bona fide as therein set forth.
