Know all Men by these Presents that I Peter Egner of Cecil County and State of 
Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty Dollars 
current Money of Maryland to me in hand paid by Joseph Harlan of the County and 
State aforesaid hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant 
bargain and sell unto the said Joseph Harlan his heirs and assigns forever the 
following property to wit One Waggon[sic] & Gears and three horses to have and 
to hold the said property unto him the said Joseph Harlan heirs and assigns to 
the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Joseph Harlan heirs and 
assigns forever  And I the said Peter Egner for myself my heirs Executors and 
Administrators do hereby warrant and defend the said property unto him the said 
Joseph Harlan against the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twentieth day of 
March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & Six.

Received the day of the above date from the above named Joseph Harlan the sum of 
one hundred and twenty Dollars Current Money being the consideration money 
mentioned in the above Bill of Sale

subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid Peter Egner 
and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the 
purpose therein mentioned
