Green's Delight
Written: May 4, 1734

Abstracted from Cecil Co. MD Deed Book 5  p. 31

This indenture made the fourth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand 
seven hundred and thirty four Between John Largent of Cecil County planter and 
Eviess his wife of the one part and George Gallasbie of Lancaster County in the 
province of Pensilvania Farmer of the other part… that for and in consideration 
of the sum of one hundred pounds one half Currant Silver money of Maryland the 
other half paper money of Pensilvania at or before the Ensealing and delivery 
hath granted bargained and sold unto the said George Galasbie all that Tract of 
Land called Greens Delight butting & bounding as followeth:

Beginning at a marked Spanish Oak upon a fork of a branch called Greens branch 
being a branch of Octoraro Creek and on the East Side of Susquehannah River and 
on the back of a Tract of Land of Wm. Boarns / Bearns called Jamaico and 
running from the said oak north west and by north two hundred perches to a 
bounded Hickory that stands on the north side of a path thence from the said 
Hickory west by South half South two hundred perches to a bounded white oak 
thence South East and by South two hundred perches thence to the beginning 
Containing and now laid out for two hundred forty and one acres of Land more or 
less…
