MD Deed Book 5 This indenture made the Eleventh day of June 1734 between John Milward of Kent County in the province of Maryland of the one part and Thomas Ward of Cecil County of the province aforesaid of the other part… for and in consideration of the full sum of two thousand pounds of good Sound merchantable leaf Tobacco and a hundred Bushels of good sound winter wheat to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Ward…hath granted bargained & sold all that parcel of Land called Wheelers Point lying and being in Cecil Cty. And on the East side of Chesapeak Bay and on the north side of a river in the said Bay called Sassafrass River Beginning at a point called Wheelers Point to a marked oak running north west and by north up a branch called Wheelers Creek for breadth a hundred and twenty five perches to a marked oak by a branch bounding on the west with the said branch and a line drawn north north East for length three hundred and twenty perches in the North with a line drawn South East and by South until it fall into a branch running north and by East on the East with the said Branch on the south with Wheelers Creek by Estimation about Two hundred and Eighteen Acres… (signed) John (his mark) Milward Wits: William Masson Robert Veazey Recorded 11 Jun 1734 – Cecil Co.
