Witnesseth that Thomas Stevenson did by his indenture bearing date 7 May 1714 sell and convey tract of land lying on the West side of the Elk river in Milford 100, Cecil County, Md. part of New Munster unto Johannes Vansant. Whereas Nicholas Donnel and his wife Elizabeth devisee Johannes Vansant did by his indenture dated 25 March 1730 convey part of the tract to Benjamin Winslow. Benjamin Winslow did by his indenture dated 11 November 1740 did sell to John Steele. John Steele by his indenture dated 20 February 1741 did sell to Archibald Steele, father of the first John mentioned, who being of sound mind to sell the same to said Francis Carruthers, who is his stepfather, 166 acres.
