Received of THE CHESAPEAKE AND POTOMAC COMPANY OF BALTIMORE CITY, One Dollar, in 
consideration of which we hereby grant unto said Company, its successors and 
assigns, the right to construct, operate and maintain its lines of telephone and 
telegraph, including the necessary poles, cables, wires and fixtures upon, over 
and across the property which we own, or in which we have any interest, in the 
Fourth District County of Cecil, and State of Maryland, and upon and along the 
roads, streets or highways adjoining the said property; to permit the attachment 
of the wires of any other Company or person; to trim any trees along said lines 
so as to keep the wires cleared at least four feet; to erect and set the 
necessary guy and brace poles and anchors and to attach thereto and to trees the 
necessary guy wires; said sum being received in full payment therefor.
