Bill of Sale from James F GIBBONS to Matthew BORLAND (1858)

Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber WHR, Number 1, Folio 473

I James F Gibbons of Cecil County in the State of Maryland in Consideration of 
the sum of Three Hundred dollars paid me by Matthew Borland of the said County & 
State, do hereby bargain and Sell to the said Matthew Borland, the following 
property Viz, one Bay Horse (Blacked face) one Gray Mare, one bay Colt, two 
Buggy Waggons, two Setts[sic] of Carriage Harness & one Lot of Hay.  Witness my 
hand and Seal this Nineteenth day of October in the year AD 1858.

I hereby Certify that on this Nineteenth day of October in the year Eighteen 
hundred and fifty Eight personally appeared before the subscriber a Justice of 
the Peace for Cecil County aforesaid, James F Gibbons and acknowledged the 
foregoing Bill of Sale to be his act.  Witness my hand the date above.

of Almighty God that the consideration therein set forth is true and bona fide.
