All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* Bill of Sale between Philip A RICARDS & Wife and Thomas A RICKARDS (1858) Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber WHR, Number 1, Folio 515 We Philip A Ricards and Elizabeth Ricards his Wife of Cecil County in the State of Maryland, in consideration of thirteen Hundred and sixty Dollars paid us by Thomas A Rickards of the County and State aforesaid, do hereby bargain and sell to the said Thomas A Rickards, all the rights title and interest at law or in Equity of us or Either of us, in and to the following personal property to Wit: two Wagons; one harrow; one Sch double harness; two horse covers; one Straw Cutter; lot of forks and Shovels; one grind stone; lot of Baskets and buckets; one Wheel Barrow; lot of Wedges and shovels; five barrels; one Cultivator; one plough; one Scythe; one cow; two Horses, that is to say, one Sorrel Horse and one bay Mare; one seed drill; fifty grain bags; two calves; one heifer; one Steer; one Cart and harness; one set Swingle[?] Trees[?]; one threshing machine; one grain Cradle; Crop of Corn now on hand; one other Cow; one heifer; one small Calf; one Sow and fourteen pigs; - also in and to the following Household goods and chattels: one Piano; one Bed tread; one dressing Bureau; one Wash stand; one Toilet Table; four chairs; two Beds and bedding; two Stoves; one lot of Carpet; Carpet; Bedtread etc; Contents of two Room; bedstead bed and bedding; Bureau and stand; Six chairs, carpet and Mirror; two Bed steads etc – Bureau and Carpet; Mirror and three chairs; Bedstead etc; three chairs, six curtains and carpet; contents of cupboard; stove and contents of closet; Carpet and six chairs, two Tables, Kitchen furniture; Contents of cellar; Carpet and Contents of Room; one Hatrack, Stair and Entry carpet; stove, tables, and covers; Secretary and six chairs; Rocking Chair, three curtains; carpet and Clock, table and cover, stand and chairs, one Rocking Chair, Lounge and Carpet & Mirror – All of which property is about the House or on the premises now occupied by the said Philip A Rickards and Elizabeth Rickards his wife in Cecil County aforesaid: Also all the interest of us, or Either of us, in and to the following property, on the farm in Cecil County aforesaid, owned by the said Elizabeth Ricards and now occupied by Jacob Hanes, the first[?] say in and to the Crop of Corn now on hand; three Cows, one Bull, two Calves, one Colt about two years old, one Bay mare about nine years old, one corn Shelter, and one Cider Mill. And at the same time, before me the subscriber, Justice of the Peace as aforesaid, also appeared Thomas A Ricards and made oath in due form of law, that the consideration in the said Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth.
