Witnesseth, that in consideration of Six Hundred and forty two dollars, the said John Mackie and Catharine Mackey, his Wife, do grant unto Matthew Borland, in fee, all that certain Tract or parcel of Land and premises, Situated in the County aforesaid. Beginning at a Stone being the NorthEasterly corner of the same, and in a corner of lands formerly of Abraham Dobbs, thence with the line of lands of said Dobb’s Lot as the needle pointed in 1854, South Six and quarter degrees East, fifty one perches to a Stone on the North Side of the Christiana Road, thence With said road South Eighty Eight degrees West, thirty six perches and fifty six hundredths of a perch to a stake and corner of a lot of the land which the said Borland purchased of John Cornish[?], thence With said lot North ten degrees W thirty six perches and twenty-four hundredths of a perch to a stake in the line of lands of the said John Mackie, thence with the line of the said Mackie North Sixty six and a quarter degrees East, forty perches to the place of Beginning. Containing ten acres and two tenths of an acre of land, be the same more or less.
