All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ********************************************************* Bill of Sale from Robert BALDWIN to Matthew BORLAND (1862) [Note: name spellings are used in this transcription as found in the original document; they are marked as errors in the original document and are noted with ‘[sic]’ below] Cecil County Land Record Book, Liber WHR, Number 5, Folio 677 I Robt Bawldin[sic] of Cecil County and State of Maryland, being now indebted to Mathew[sic] Borland of said County and State in the sum of Fifty dollars, With interest from the date hereof, In Consideration thereof do hereby bargan[sic] and Sell to the said Matthew Borland, the following property, that is to say, 1 pair of high post Bed Steds[sic] painted yellow, 2 pair of low Bed Steads painted Yellow, 1 Breakfast Table, 1 Dinner Table, 6 Watter[sic] Colerd[sic] Chairs, and 6 Commas[?] Chairs, 1 Borrough[sic], 1 father[sic] Bed, 1 flock Bed, 1 Stand, 1 Cook Stove, 2 Pots, 1 Wash Bailer[?], 1 Kettel[sic], 1 Skilet, 1 bak[sic] pans, 3 Wash Tubs, 3 Looking Glasses, 1 Shanel[?], 1 Spade, 5 Earthen Jars, 1 set of breakfast Dishes, 16 yards of Rag Carpet, 3 pictures in frame, Provided that if the said Robt Bawldin shall pay to the said Matthew Borland, the said sum of fifty dollars, with interest thereon on demand then these presents shall be void.
