She was the oldest member of Zion Presbyterian Church. She leaves two children: Washington Underwood, a well-known farmer of the Ninth district, and a married daughter living in Philadelphia. The funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon from her late home, Rev William FitzSimon, of Zion, officiating. The interment was in Rosebank Cemetery. MRS MARY E DEVLIN Mrs Mary E Devlin, an aged and estimable lady of this district, died at her home near Cherry Hill, last Saturday, after a long illness from cancer. She was the widow of the late David T Devlin, who died only a few months ago, and also a sister of the late Jacob T Biddle, of Cowentown. One daughter, Mrs Paul Arbuckle, of Cherry Hill, survives her. Her funeral was held Thursday afternoon from her late residence, with interment in the Cherry Hill ME Cemetery. JOHN H McCARDELL John H McCardell, died at his home just across the Pennsylvania line last Saturday, aged 74 years. For many years he was a resident of Cecil county, and was a son of the late Jonathan McCardell, and a half-brother of Messrs George W and Samuel McCardell, of the Sixth district. -------------- Interments. The remains of Mrs Annie Gearey, who died at here home near Rowlandsville, Wednesday evening, last week, were laid to rest in West Nottingham Cemetery last Saturday. Mrs Gearey was 70 years of age and widow of the late Samuel Gearey. Her maiden name was Dickey, she being a daughter of David Dickey, of Oxford. One son and a daughter survive her. The remains of William Bradford were brought to Elkton from Newark Saturday afternoon and laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery of this town.
