He died at Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, on the previous Tuesday, of cancer, aged 58 years. He was a prominent Odd Fellow, and Mason, was a Knight Templar and also belonged to the Jr OUAM. His wife, two daughters and brother, Alfred Carnagy, of Trenton, NJ, survive him. MRS JOHN BORLAND Mrs Amanda A Borland, widow of the late John Borland, died at her home, in the Fourth district, early last Friday morning, aged 81 years. Her first husband was Matthew Borland, and later she married John Borland. Six children by the former survive her -- three sons, Delaplaine, of Piedmont, WV; Henry M and Washington Borland, and three daughters -- Mrs John Wilson, Mrs George Peterson and Mrs Heston Crossan. Her funeral was held on Monday, with interment at Sharp's Cemetery. MRS MARY E LEWIS Mrs Mary E Lewis, widow of the late John E Lewis, died at her home in Newark, DE, last Friday. Three daughters, Mrs H B Wright, Mrs Howard Gilpin and Mrs George Bennett, and two sons, Evan W, and C R F Lewis, survive her. Her funeral was held on Tuesday, with interment in Newark M E Cemetery. JOSEPH A SENTMAN Joseph A Sentman, a well-known grocer, of Wilmington, a native of this county, died at his home, at Second and Jackson streets, in that city, on Saturday, in the 58th year of his age. His wife and a son, Herbert A Sentman, survive him. His funeral was held on Tuesday, with interment in Riverview Cemetery. FRANK PUGH The funeral of Frank Pugh, eldest son of Joseph Pugh, of Kembleville, was held on Sunday, with interment in Head of Christiana Cemetery. He died last Thursday, of typhoid fever, aged 23 years, at his home in Newark, where he and his wife had just begun housekeeping on Delaware avenue.
