Probate November 26, 1904

I, Thompson Brown of Cecil County and state of Maryland, being of sound mind 
and disposing mind do make and publish this my last will and testament in 
manner following, that is say:

After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses I give, devise and 
bequeath my estate as follows:

I give and bequeath to my son George T. Brown the sum of one dollar.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah J. Caldwell the sum of one dollar.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Lydia A Kennard the sum of one dollar.

I give and bequeath to my son William W. Brown the sum of one dollar.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary L. West the sum of one dollar.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Florence V. Brown the sum of one dollar.

All the rest and residue of my estate and property, real and personal and 
wherever situated I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Ida V. Gerhauser 
and F. Harvey Gerhauser, husband of said Ida V. Gerhauser, in trust and 
confidence to hold the sum to and for the use and benefit of my son Nathan 
Henry Brown during his natural life and if either of the above married Trustees 
shall die before the said Nathan Henry Brown of in case either of them shall 
not survive me then the estate and property hereby devised or bequeathed shall 
rest in the survivor or sole trustee and if both of said trustees shall die 
before the said Nathan Henry Brown I desire and request the court having 
jurisdiction over trusts to appoint a successor in the trust and the said 
trustees shall collect the rents, issues and profits of the property hereby 
devised or bequeathed, and apply the same to the payment of all expenses 
incident to the management of said property and shall apply the remainder of 
said profits to the maintence of the said Nathan Henry Brown, and I hereby 
authorize and empower the said trustees to sell at public or private sale, or 
to lease all or any part of the property, real or personal, hereby devised or 
bequeathed and to grant and ? the same to the purchaser or purchasers their 
heirs or as ? and in the event of such sale the said trustee shall invest the 
proceeds thereof as well as all other money held under this trust, in such 
other property as they may deem best for the interest of the said Nathan Henry 
Brown, and upon the death of the said Nathan Henry Brown, the property and 
estate held under this trust shall vest absolutely in possession equally in the 
said Ida V. Gerhauser and F. Harvey Gerhauser, their heirs, executors or 
adminsistrators.

I hereby constitute and appoint the above mentioned Ida V. Gerhauser and F. 
Harvey Gerhauser to be the executors of this my last will and testament, hereby 
making all other wills and codicils by me heretofore made in testimony whereof 
I have  herewith subscribed my name and affixed my seal this Eighteenth day of 
May in the year of our nineteen hundred and one.

Signed, sealed and declared by Thompson Brown the above named testator as and 
for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who at his request in 
his presence and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as 
witnesses thereto.
