And my soul into the hands of God that gave it in sure and certain hope of resurrection to immortal life at the last day. After payments of just debts of funeral charges, I dispose of my worldly affects in the following manner viz: First, I will and bequeath to my wife Mary Mahaffey the one third of my real estate with house that I live in during her natural life or widowhood and the one third of my personal estate at her disposal. Secondly, As I have given my sons Hugh and Joseph their share of my estate, I will and bequeath them five shllings each. Thirdly, I will to my daughter Polly Hall ten pounds. Fourthly, I will and bequeath to my son William Mahaffey my negro boy Soloman and fourteen pounds. Fifthly, I will and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Steel my negro wench Hannah. Sixthly, I will and bequeath to my son Rowland Mahaffey a feather bed and eighty three pounds. Seventhly, I will and bequeath to my son Alexander Mahaffey the plantation where I now live with all the improvements thereon and the residue of my personal estate after the legal fees are paid. I hereby constitute my wife Mary Mahaffey and my son Alexander Mahaffey my executrix and executor of this my last will and testament.
