Milford 100 Cecil Co Written: February 26, 1826 Wife of 40 years Elizabeth Steele her choise of rooms in the mansion house and Sarah attend her. To my sons Joseph and David the mansion house with the middle division of my land to be equally divided by them. To my son Samuel the north division of my land beginning at Thomas Clement land to a marker in the field, from there to Baley Biles land. The line to run as the fence now stands. Him paying my son James $200 to be paid yuearly @$20 a year until paid. To my son Alexander the south part of my land being south of the main road leading to the Christiania Bridge from Blue Ball. Him paying his brother William $550 in yearly payments. To my daughter Sarah besides what she has received, my negro girl Harrriet during her life and after to be property of her daughter Elizabeth. To my daughter Polly, my negro girl Ratchel and two sheets and pewter dishes above what she has already received. To my daughter Betsy my negro girl Meriah and $200 in cash within two years after my death. Also the furniture upstairs while she remains single and divorced for the winter time. Witnessed James Hill, John Kirk, Jacob Hilaman Additional Comments: James and Elizabeth Steel are buried in the stone graveyard in Lewisville, Pa.
