And James Lyon January 30th 1801, Charles County, Maryland At the request of James Lyon the following Bill of Sale was recorded this 30th day of January Anno Domini 1801 - This Indenture made this twenty-ninth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one Between Henry Lyon of Charles County in the State of Maryland of the one part and James Lyon of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witness eth that he said Henry Lyon for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred pounds Current money of Maryland to him the said Henry Lyon in hand well and truly paid by the said James Lyon at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Henry Lyon doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and there from and from every part and parcel thereof doth acquit, release, exonerate and forever discharge the said James Lyon, his heirs, executors, administrators and every of them by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said James Lyon his executors, administrators and assigns, All and singular the goods and Chattels, furniture, household stuff and implements of household herein after particularly mentioned and expressed, that is to say two sorrel Horses and two sorrel mares, nine head of horned Cattle, eight head of Sheep, fifteen head of Hogs, five feather beds and five bedsteads, one walnut Desk, two walnut Tables, two looking Glasses, eight Chairs, one Gun, one large Kettle, fifty Barrels of Corn and four thousand weight of Tobacco To Have And To Hold all and singular the said Goods and Chattels, Furniture, Household stuff and implements of Household herein before granted, bargained and sold or mentioned or intended to be unto the said James Lyon, his executors, administrators and assigns, to the only proper use and be hoof of the said James Lyon, his executors, administrators and assigns forever In Witness whereof the said Henry Lyon hath to these presents set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
