Bill Of Sale Between
James Lyon and John Moran Sr.
Dated April 9th 1801 in Charles County, Maryland


	At the request of James Lyon the following Bill Of Sale was recorded this 
9th day of April Anno Domini 1801 -
	Know all men by these presents that I John Moran Sen. Of Charles County 
and State of Maryland have this day Bargained for And sold and delivered unto 
James Lyon of the said County and State aforesaid one Negro Girl called Minty 
Aged about ten years of age for and in the consideration of the sum of thirty 
pounds Current Money of the State of Maryland the receipt whereof I do hereby 
Acknowledge and myself fully contented And paid And do hereby warrant and 
forever defend the said Negro Minty and futer Increase from all persons 
whatsoever In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day March 
30th day in the years of our Lord eighteen hundred and one -
