IB No. 25, Charles County MD land Records At the request of Henry Moran and others the following deed was recorded this 6th day of April Anno Domini 1843. This indenture made this sixteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between Alexander Moran and Harriet his wife, George B. Moran and Terecia his wife, James B Goldsmith and Susan his wife all of Charles County and State of Maryland of the one part and Henry Moran, Lydia Moran, Rebecca Moran and Elizabeth Moran of the same county and state of the other part witness eth that for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and eighty-two dollars current money by the parties of the first part, to the parties of the second part in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first part hath bargained and sold aliened and enscoffed (?) and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell alien enscoff (?) release convey and confirm unto the said parties of the second part, All the tract or parcel or parcels of land lying and being in Charles County aforesaid and on which the said parties of the second part now live and occupy it being the residence of their deceased brother Elkanah Moran late of Charles County aforesaid called Gate Range part of a tract called Wethington Chance containing ninety-one acres more or less together with all the buildings and improvements, ways, water and water course privileges, advantages and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate, right, title and interest, trust property claim and demand whatsoever at law and in equity of them the said parties of the first part of in and to the same to have and to hold the said herein described premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns forever.
