TURNER FILED 19TH SEPTEMBER 1843 The separate answer of John R. Turner to the bill of complaint of Martha Turner filed against him and others in Court of Chancery. This repondent for answer ----or so much theeof as he is advised it is material for him to answer into answer and says: That he admits the death of Thomas Turner at the period stated in paid bill and not complaint is his widow and he also admits the execution of the deed from Aquila Turner in lands and real estate in said deed ----to Thomas turner for life and to respondant in full. But ---- Respondnet must deny the purchasing of said real estate by his Father or himself.. The grantee Aquilla Turner had at the time executing only renewing ----------------------. It was the -------- ------his father Randolph turner who reeived a life estate in said real estate to his daughter to be terminated after there marriage, and your Respondents will state that three of his daughters are ---and unnamed and still in possession of said real estate and he -- -- denys that ----- of dower of complainent in siad real estate and for further answer to the bill of complant of complanant your respondant will state that hthe house and lot in new Port which was conveyed to Thomas Turner by ------ ------ was in such a state of decay and delapication at the death of Thomas Turner that no --- would rent it . The respondent frequently attempted to rent I, but emently failed. The property being in this situation, -------------to owner and decaying value. Respondent in the firt part of 1841 determined to restore it and ---- ---- ----three hundred and fifty dollars and --- which was worth ocuupied it as a store, and dwelling house, but it is not a very comfortable house, nor a valuable lot and his daug of his Father living with in the year 1837 to the present time and has paid all the -- in said house and lot and respondents --- --- --- sufficient to balance the rents for said house and lot since he occupied it.
