These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organizations. ************************************************************************ Will of Job Corner Charles County, Maryland CHARLES COUNTY, MARYLAND - Will of Job Corner Dated November 9, 1676 and probated April 16, 1677 In the name of God Amen the 9th day of November in the yeare of our Lord god 1676 I Job Cornor of Charles County planter being sick & weake of body but of sound & perfect mind & memory blessed be god for the same & calling to mind the uncertain & transitory state of this life & that all flesh must yield to death, being desirous to settle things in order doe make this my last will & testament in manner & forme following that is to say first & principally I Commit my soule to almighty god my Creator & my body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in Christian & decent manner according to the discretion of my friend hereafter nominated & appointed Item I will & desire that all my just & lawfull debts which I owe may be paid & satisfied by my wife Anne Corner by me here appointed my whole & sole executrix. Item I give unto my wife, Anne Corner, my Mare Jenny & her foale Item I give unto my wife Anne, all my Cattle & hoggs in generall. Item I will & desire that my wife Anne may have the Plantation to live on during her life. Item I give & bestow & hereby freely grant unto my beloved friend Tho. Corker all my plantation & land being 300 acres to be fully possessed thereof at the death of Anne my wife. he his heirs & executors or admrs. Item I will & desire that the said Tho. Corker may See me buried in descent manner & defray the expenses out of my tobacco. Item I give my young horse Scoggin unto Philip Browne & Tho. Rigg. Item I give my horse unto Tho Corker & Eliz his wife. Item I give my household goods & all the rest of my estate (after these my legasies & just debts are paid) unto my deare wife & aforementioned executrix. Lastly I hereby utterly revoke all former & other wills either by word or writing, ordaining this & noe other my last will & testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale this 9th day of November 1676 Job Corner [sealed] Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of us Tho. Corker Phillip Browne And on the back side of the foregoing will was thus written April 16th 1677 By vertue of a Commission from your honour bearing date the 30th of November 1776 I did the day above written call before me Eliz.
