The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** JANE BOYE WILL In the name of God Amen, I Jane Boye, of Charles County in the province of Maryland, Widow being very sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory praised be to Almighty God for the same- (word unreadable) First and principally I commend my soul unto Almighty God who gave it hoping at the general resurrection through the merits of my savior Jesus Christ to have free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named and for what Temporal Estate it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and bequeath as followeth; Item- I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Boye one bed with a new bed slick with good blankets and a silk rug with other furniture and ___ _____ and one table and three small chairs and one great chair and three dishes and half dozen plates and one tankard and one iron pot and one big mettle skillet and one pair of curtains and one pail and piggies? and two cow calves and three sows and pigs and two barrow hogs all the above said mentioned goods to be delivered to my daughter Elizabeth Boye when she shall arrive at the age of eighteen years or the day of marriage. Item- My will and pleasure is that all the rest of my personal Estate be equally divided among my five sons. Pigeon, John, Thomas, Abraham, and Bowman Boyes and if any of my said sons shall live to arrive to the age of eighteen years at which years my will and pleasure is they shall be at age _____ for them _____ _______ if any of them die before the age of eighteen years then their parts or portions to fall to my daughter Elizabeth Boye and if my daughter Elizabeth Boye die before the age of eighteen years or marriage then her part to be equally divided among the survivors and if any of my said sons dies after the death of my daughter Elizabeth Boye the their part or portions shall be equally divided among the rest off my said sons that are alive. Item- I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Boye all my wearing clothes bath linings and moldings ______ Lastly I do nominate and appoint my Will, beloved son Pigeon Boye full whole and sole Executor of all and singular. Revoking and disannulling all former wills by me Jane Boye made and this to be my last will and testament as witness my hand and seal this 28th day of July anno Domini 1710 Testors Thomas Evans - Ann Evans Jane [her mark] Boye Amend to the foregoing will was the following probate to wit; September 21, 1719 Thomas Evans subscribing witness to the within will depose on the Holy Evangels that he saw Jane Boye sign and seal the written instrument as her last will and testament and that she published and declared the same so to be and that at the time of her so doing she was of sound and perfect mind and memory to the best of his knowledge before me this day and year above said. ______ _______ A.
