Charles County, Maryland, AK 11 ff, pp. 504-506 ************************************************************************* Mary McAtee Will August Term 1799 In the name of God Amen, I, Mary McAtee of Charles County and State of Maryland being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and memory do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following. --- Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my beloved son Benjamin McAtee, one bed and furniture five sheep one stear and small Iron Pot one Dutch oven one Pine chest and seven geese. Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Mary Wedding my Side Saddle. Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Monica Clements one small Spinning Wheel. Imprimis, I give and bequeath to my two beloved daughters Mary Wedding and Monica Clements all my sheep wool and Goose Feathers to be equally divided between them as also the remaining part of my estate not before mentioned. I give to my two said beloved Daughters Mary Wedding and Monica Clements to be equally divided between them. -- And lastly I constitute and appoint my beloved Son Benjamin McAtee my whole and sole Executor of this my last will and Testament. In Testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty ninth day of May in the year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and ninety nine -- Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of us Mary McAtee Wm P(?) Lord Solomon Green on the back of the foregoing will it is written to wit, Charles County --- (indecipherable little word or abbreviation) July 15, 1799 Then came Benjamin McAtee Executor of Mary McAtee late of Charles County Dec'd and made oath on the holy Evangels of Almighty God that the within will is the true and whole last will & Testament of Said dec'd that have come to his hands or possession & that he doth not know of any other. Cert'd by Humphrey Barnes Regis of wills Charles County --- (little indecipherable word again) July 15th 1799. Then came William P. Ford & Solomon Green the Two subscribing witnesses to the written last will & Testament of Mary McAtee late of Charles County Dec'd and severally made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that they did see the Testatrix therein named sign and seal this will that they heard her publish pronounce & declare the same to be her last will & Testament that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind memory & understanding & that they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses to this will in the presence and at the request of the Testatrix and in the presence of each other.
