D., OF CHARLES COUNTY, MD. Father-in-law, Smith Middleton. My children I leave to the care of their grandfather, Smith Middieton, to live with him until my youngest child, George Semmes, reaches 18 years of age, until which time I desire that my estate, both real and personal, be kept together for support, maintenance and education of all my chil&rcn, to wit: Daughter, Elizabeth Semmes; son, Thomas Semmes; daughter, Mary Hawkins Semmes; son, George Semmes; daughter, Elizabeth Semmes; daughter, Mary Hawkins Semmes; son, Thomas Semmes; son, George Semmes, except such part of my stock, household furniture and plantation as my executor may chose to dispose of. Two slaves to each on her wedding day or when my son George reaches 18 years of age. All my lands, with the proviso that use of same be for all my children until my youngest child comes to the age of 18 years, as above mentioned. All my children, to wit: Elizabeth Semmes, Mary Hawkins Semmes, Thomas Semmes and George Semmes, the residue not to be divided until my youngest child reaches 18 years.
