All Rights Reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/mdfiles.htm ******************************************************************************** RANDOLPH TURNER WILL OCOTOBER 1822 In the name of God amen I RANDOLPH TURNER of Charles County and State of Maryland being in perfect health and of body and mind (thanks be to God for the same) calling to mind the uncertainty of this transitory life, and knowing it is appointed for all mankind once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, Imprimis- I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty god who gave it to me, hoping through the merits and mediation of my blessed Savior and Redeemer jesus Christ to receive the power again at the general resurrection and my body to the Earth to be buried in a decent and Christian form according to the discretion of my Executor hereafter named. Item I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife ELIZABETH the use of all my Estate both real and personal during her natural life or widowhood, and after her decease that my unmarried daughters shall have all my personal property equally divided amongst them except my Negroes which shall always continue the Property of my unmarried or single daughters while there remains one singluor unmarried amongst them; and should they all marry or decease then the Negroes are to be equally devided amongst the surviving daughters & their Heirs as the other Personal property above specified and also that my unmarried daughters shall have the entire use and privilege of the whole of my real Estate during their single lives but as soon as they are married they are no longer to be entitled to the use and privilege hereof, but that the enire right, title, privlege & possession of the whole of my real Estate is to be and remain unto my son AQUILA to himself & his heirs forever. Lastly - I hereby nominate constitute and ordain my son AQUILA TURNER Executor of this my last my last will and testament, hereby utterly revoking, disannulling and disallowing every former and other will or wills by me made or done and achnowedging this, and only this to be my lsat will and testament. COOKE On the back of the aforegoing will it is thus written: Charles County August 17 1822 Then came AQUILA TURNER Executor of RANDOLPH TURNER late of Charles county deceased and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the aforegoing instument of writing is the true and whole last will and testament of the said deceased that came to his possession and that he doth not know of any other. COOKE two of the witnesses to the aforegoing last will and testament of RANDOLPH TURNER late of Charles County deceased and severally made oath on the Holy Evangley of Almighty God that they aforegoing did see the Testament named, sigh and seal this will and that they heard him publish, pronouce and d4eclare the same to be his last will and testament, that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind, memeory and understanding and that they together with SAMUEL TURNER the other subscribing witness respectively subscribed ther names as witnesse to this will in the presence and at the request of the Testator and in the presence of each other.
