Wright Last Will and Testament [MSA CR 82] [Chas. Co. REC #23, p. 295-296] I, Thomas I . Wright of Charles County, in the State of Maryland, do make this my Last Will and Testament, in manner following that is to say: After the payment of all my just debts, including my funeral expenses, and the erection a monument to mark the graves of my dear wife and myself; the cost of same to be in the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named; I give, devise and bequeath my estate as follows: Item 1. - To Doris N. DeLozier, of the City of Washington, in the District of Columbia, I give devise and bequeath, all property, of every kind and description and wheresoever located, which I may own or possess at the time of my death; she to have and hold the same in trust and confidence nevertheless, for the benefit of my wife, Nellie F. Wright, for and during the term of her natural life; with full power and authority hereby vested in the said Doris N. DeLozier, as such Trustee, to dispose of any and all of my said property, either at public or private sale; and upon such terms as she may deem most expedient, to the end that so long as my said wife shall survive me, she shall be comfortably supported and maintained, from the income and corpus of my estate, and that the costs of her funeral expenses be likewise paid out of funds pertaining to the Trust Estate hereby created. Item 2. - Upon the death of my said wife, I direct that the trust hereby created shall cease and terminate, and that the remainder of my estate, whether corpus or income, then belong to the said Doris N. DeLozier, absolutely and without any condition whatsoever. Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint the said Doris N. DeLozier, Executrix of this, my said Last Will and Testament; and Trustee for the purposes hereinbefore set forth, with the power hereinbefore vested in here; hereby revoking all other Wills or Codicils heretofore made by me, and declaring this, and none other, as and for my said Last Will. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Ninth day of March, in the year nineteen hundred and forty-two. Thomas I. Henrietta Roberts Walter J. Mitchell CHARLES COUNTY, ss. On the 6th day of August, 1949 came Walter J. Mitchell AND MADE OATH IN DUE FORM OF LAW, that he does not know of any Will or Codicil of Thomas I. Wright of said county, deceased, other than the above instrument of writing, and that he received the same from the Testator at the time of its execution and retained it in his possession until turning it over to the Register of Wills of Charles County on the 6th day of August 1949. SWORN TO TEST: Evelyn R. Posey Register of Wills, Chas. Co. CHARLES COUNTY, ss. On the 6th day of August, 1949 came Henrietta Roberts and Walter J. Mitchell subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing last Will and Testament of Thomas I. Wright late of said County, deceased, and MADE OATH IN DUE FORM OF LAW, that they did see the Testator sign and seal this Will; that they heard him publish, pronounce and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament; that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their apprehension, of sound and disposing mind, memory, and understanding; and that they together subscribed their names as witnesses to this Will in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other. The Court, after having carefully examined the aforegoing last Will and Testament of Thomas I. Wright, late of Charles County, Maryland, deceased, and also the evidence adduced as to its validity, Orders and Decrees, this 6th day of August A.D., 1949 that the same be admitted in this Court as the true and genuine last Will and Testament of the said Thomas I.
