for The People’s Standard  Edition Of The Holy Bible by James P. Boyd, L.B., 
A.M.  Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1872, by Ziegler & 
McCurdy, in the Office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington, District 
of Columbia.

The Bible contains in black ink the original handwritten calligraphy 
Certificate of Marriage between John W. Bassett of Dorchester County and 
Elizabeth E. Harding of Dorchester County on the 21st day of Janry 1862 by 
Rev. Alligood and Witnessed by William H. Davidson and Thomas Dunnock.

The Bible cover is in very poor condition but the majority of the content is 
intact. The Family Record located within the middle of the Bible remains in 
very good condition.
