Dorchester County
     An inquisition taken at March A Point in Straits District in Dorchester 
County afore said on the 8 day of January 1884.
Before me the subsriber one of the duties of the ? of the State of Maryland in 
and afor Dorchester County upon view of the body of James HALL then and there 
lying dead upon oathes of Robert W.POWLEY,Foreman.William C.DEAN,William 
H.BRAMBLE,Charles JONES,James W.JONES,Jacob T.JONES,John M.TODD,John 
H.GOODLAN,Jesse J.PARKS,Wesley ADAMS,Whitton DEAN,Josiar FLITCHER, good and 
lawful men of the county afore said,who being sworn to inquire on the part of 
the State of Maryland.When,where,how and after what manner the said James HALL 
come to his death,do say upon there oath that on the seventh day of January 
1884 at or near Marsh Point in Straits died in Dorchester County a citizen.
      James Hall came to his death by attemping to go ashore off the Sloop 
Edieth lying in the ice in Fox Creek waters,which the said James HALL did 
accidently casually and by misfortune he there ?--? was in the water of the 
said fox creek then and there drowned of which drowning he the said James HALL 
instantly died and so the jurors afore said do say that the said James HALL in 
the manner  by the means afore said accidentally casually and by misfortune 
came to his death and not otherwise.
