Asplen widow of Charles L.Asplen died Sunday June 27 at 6:40 pm.at the Spring Hill Sanitarium in Salisbury.She was a patient since January 1952.She was in bad health since the death of her husband in 1949.Her parents were the Late John R. and Hester A Neild of Woolford.She married Charles Asplen of Woolford on March 22,1893.The earlier part of there life was spent in Baltimore they later returned to Woolford and lived the rest of there 56 years of maried life.She was known as "Aunt Bertie" She was a member of the Old Trinity Church in Church Creek.Survived by 1 brother Alton B Neild Woolford and several neices and nephews.Funeral services will be at the LeCompte Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 a.m .Interment Old Trinity Church Cemetery.
