A formatted version can be Viewed at http://www.usgwarchives.net/md/dorchester/wills/hayward-f.pdf Francis Hayward Will Dorchester County MD Maryland Hall of Records Liber 21, f. 454 (Microfilm SR 4415-2) Also copy located at 1/11/1/25 Written 17 April 1735 Proved 17 September 1735 In the name of God Amen I Francis Hayward of Dorchester County in the Province of Maryland being very weak in body but of perfect Sence and Sound of memory praised be Almighty God for the same do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Revolking & making void all former and other Wills by me heretofore made not Imp{rs} I give and bequeath my Soul to Almighty God who gave it me a full assurance of the pardon and Remission of all my Sins in and through the suffering & merit of my Ever blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and body to the Earth to receive such Christian burial as my ex{er} herein appointed shall think convenient and for which worldly Goods as it hath pleased Almighty God to bless me withal I give and bequeath as followeth Viz Item I give unto my Son Thomas Hayward all that Tract of land called Addition to ffrancis Hayward Farm to him and his assigns forever Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth Ennalls one moyety of Maidens Lott to her and her heirs forever Item I give unto my Daughter Mary Jones the other moiety of the Tract of land called Maidens Lott to her and her heirs forever Item It is my will and desire that after my Just Debts are paid my Funeral charges discharged and the several Legacies Sett apart to the use of the Legatees that the remainder of my Estate be equally divided between my three Sons, John, Francis and Thomas Hayward and grandson Thomas Hayward Son of William Hayward deceased Item I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Ennalls Wife of Thomas Ennalls to the value of six pound Current Money to be paid out of my Goods & Chattles after my Decease according to appraisement Item I give unto my Daughter Mary Jones one Feather bed and Furniture to Wit Bed bolster Pillows Curtains Vallins Rug blankets and sheets after my Decease Lastly I do hereby Nominate and appoint my Son John Hayward and my Son Thomas Hayward my Joint Ex{rs} of this my last Will and Testament Ratifying and informing the same to be my last Will and Testament Consisting of One whole sheet of paper written on one Side and this piece a Witness Seal this Seventeen Day of April Anno Domini One thousand and thirty five Francis Hayward (Seal) Signed Sealed published & acknowledged in the presence of us Rich{d} Smart, James Brown, James Hooper at the foot of the foregoing Will was the following Probate thus written Sep{r} the 17{th} 1735 Came Richard Smart and James Hopper two of the Subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing Will being duly and Solemnly sworn on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God did Depose and say that they saw the Testator Francis Hayward Sign the foregoing Will and heard him publish and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of their knowledge of sound & disposing mind and memory and that they did Sign their Respective names as Witnesses to be the last Will in the presence and at the request of the said Testator and that James Brown was there and Signed his name as Witness also Jn{o} Pitt(?)
