On Wednesday, the 22nd day of March 1865 at 8 o’clock A.M. the Real Estate of which the said deceased died seized, viz: THE FARM on which he resided CONTAINING 62 ½ ACRES OF LAND more or less in a fine state of cultivation, and all under good fencing. About 6 acres are in Timber. The improvements are: TWO-STORY DWELLING HOUSE with Back Building, all Rought-Cast; Log and Frame Barn, with Sheds, Corn Crib, Carriage House, Wagon Shed, Milk House and DryHouse, with a fine Young Orchard, a Never-failing well of water, with Pump in it. Also at the same time I will sell SAW MILL PLACE, containing about 9 acres of land, on which there is a comfortable 1 ½ story house and stable, with a never-failing spring of water near the dwelling; also a thriving Orchard. The Saw Mill has just been put in good order, with a Circular Saw attached to it. Also about 4 ½ acres Timber Land, adjoining the Saw Mill Place, which will be sold in two lots, and deserves the attention of purchases, as they are well set with Timber; they are situated about 3 miles from Emmitsburg, on the road to Eyler’s Valley. Also at the same time the personal property consisting of: 1 Mare, 1 Yearly Colt, 3 cows, 1 Sow, 1 one-hours Wagon and bed, 1 Spring Wagon, Ploughs, Harrow Cultivator, Wind Mill, Gears, Log Chain, Post Spud, Mason’s tools, Sleigh, Crowbar, Bedsteads and Bedding, Drawers, Chairs, Clock, Carpets, Looking Glasses, Stoves and Pipe, Cook Stove and Fixtures, Grindstone, Maul and Wedges, Axe, Cross Cut Saw, Dry Apples, Bacon, Lard, Potatoes, Apple-butter, smoothe- bore Rifle, Vineagar, Tubs, Barrels, Queensware, Iron Kettle, Brass Kettle.
